Dream Home
"Dream Home" references the introspective and individual journey of a foreigner trapped in the struggle of finding a new home in Berlin. The film observes the emotional and psychological impacts of displacement through the routine of the subject. This routine rapidly turns into a disturbing experience where the boundaries between reality and imagination blur. Houses visited one after another evolve into shape-shifting cities. Buildings warp, and the sky changes color. This search, both personally and universally relatable, gradually takes on a surreal nature. In a densely populated city where even the most dilapidated areas are made accessible by life standards, the question of "What does a person need?" from Maslow's theory in the contemporary world is revisited in the quest for a livable home.
" Dream Home " invites the audience to question what it truly means to find a home, not just in a physical space, but also within the individual, exploring themes of identity, displacement, and the search for belonging.
